#P1 What’s Happened so far…

#

Okay, so let’s begin with a recap of what all has happened so far.

I was born on the 22nd of March 1996 in Saudi Arabia. A place I love for its weather, food, and malls. Not all malls. Just 2 in particular: Extra Stores and the great Jarir Bookstores. I finished my schooling there in probably the largest school in Asia (I’m not sure of the statistics): International Indian School Dammam. I loved my home and friends but I can’t say the same for my school life. I was not a bad student. Above-average would be a very good word to describe me. Definitely more geeky than the rest and the one with the craziest dreams and aspirations. The atmosphere there however wasn’t fit for someone like me. Why is that so? I can’t explain the whole thing now but maybe later in some other post.

I lived about 70 km away from where the school was located so we had these long commutes in the morning and afternoon. Let’s just say my bus life was more fun for me than my school life. It suffices to say I had just one friend till 6th grade and it gradually went on to become about 15 or so by the time I was done with 12th grade. Basically, because I was picky. I didn’t like anyone there. I hated the extreme extroverts and I dreaded the introverts. And I’m pretty sure everyone found me to be odd as well.

My 12th grade was simply put, a disaster in every way (another long post for another day). So when I finally got into a college for my dream course. I decided to change myself for it. I shut myself up, threw away the crazy dreams and fell right into the middle of the rat-race. However, I found another guy just as crazy as I was. I must say, He is one guy I’d trust with my life.

So…..4 years went by and I graduated out of college with a degree and a placement offer some would actually kill for. Not to sound boisterous but I was probably the student with the highest pay package in the history of my college. I’m not sure.

And so as any sensible person in the rat-race would do, I accepted the offer (mainly because of the pay to be honest). But it turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life. I loved the job, but not some of the duties that it entailed (I still have nightmares sometimes) but I loved my team there. I had a very good manager and a great set of teammates. Together, we were unstoppable.

But like all good things, it too had to end because my suppressed inner mind; the dreamer, finally broke free. I had to free myself and get out of the rat-race and finally do what I’ve always wanted to do. Make magic.

So, I got out. Quit the job, went back to the drawing board and decided to start something of my own.

So here we are. I quit at the end of 2018 and started my own company in the beginning of 2019. I’ve started reading books again and now I’m writing again (I think). I will be writing random stuff here. I will try to do it at regular intervals. It might be about events from my past, general discussions, my take on certain situations in life, things I had to learn the hard way, maybe even book reviews…….

So bear with me or as smeghead says before every cinematic excrement episode: Leave. Now.

PS: For those who haven’t seen any smeghead videos, check them out. They are amazing. https://www.youtube.com/user/smeghead4269
