Jesil's Notes a human's blog on life and everything in it

Why no updates?!

W

Well hello there reader!

I don’t know if anyone reads this or let alone knows about the existence of this blog. And yet, keeping up with my delusions of grandeur, I am going to assume that I have a huuuge fan base who’ve been waiting for my return with sackful of updates and stories and puns and advice and whatnot.

I have been contemplating writing a post here for some time now. I know the last post here has been the 2020 update when COVID-19 (called it corona at the time) was at its peak. People were dying, borders were closed, everyone was stuck in a state of uncertainty and anxiousness. Well its 2025 now and things have changed…a lot. I have changed a lot. There’s a lot to update you guys on but first, I am going to try to complete this post properly. This is an apology as well as an explanation to why there has been this long hiatus here. And it all boils down to a fear of mine. The fear of being copied, being forgotten and being unrecognized for my words.

Let me explain.

I know no one reads the stuff I pen here. But like I said, my delusions of grandeur makes me think otherwise ( I am in denial of my google analytics insights). When I started this blog I wanted this blog to be my place of escape. My place to rant about everything. And ofcourse, to let my thoughts and ideas flow.

But therein arises the dilemma. The conundrum.

‘What If?’

What if someone sees my posts? What if one of my posts actually is a good idea and its stolen and someone else is recognized and apreciated for it. What if my posts are used against me? What if someone decided to use my words to be me or duplicate me?

These questions have been looming over my head for some time now and I feel its even more relevant and valid now especially with the rise of AI models that can duplicate anything from appearence, voice and even thoughts.

But as time passed I have come to understand why this blog mattered. This is where I vented. This is where I wanted to document everything I learnt in my journey to the grave. The things I saw, the things I felt, the things I didn’t say. And maybe someday this helps someone make less mistakes and progress faster. An aid to the progress of humanity and its evolution (which I really fear is going the wrong way after seeing all the shit that is going on with the youth of today through the internet and social media). So I put away my qualms and tried to ChatGPT a post telling the world that I am back.

This is what it gave me.

Title: Why I’ve Been Away — And Why I’m Back

It’s been a long time since I wrote here.

And that wasn’t the plan. When I started this blog, it was supposed to be a regular place for me to document what I was building and learning — across Laravel, Vue, GCP, and all the other technologies I’ve come to love and use daily.

But then, life happened.

Sometime in 2022, I moved back to India from Saudi Arabia. I’d been working remotely, but I knew I wanted to start something more grounded — to build something that wasn’t just mine, but ours. That’s when Greymore really began to take shape.

We rented a flat in Piravom. Not just as an office — but as a space where the team could work, live, and figure things out together. There were whiteboards, code sprints, power cuts, team meals, late-night debugging, and a lot of energy. It felt raw, messy, and exactly right.

In the middle of that, we landed two great projects — enough to know we had something real. But it was also around this time I started consulting for Oxygen Digital Shop as a Project Coordinator.

It was supposed to be a short gig. But like many things in life, it became something much more.

I started by trying to understand why their existing software setups were failing them. It didn’t take long to discover deep process issues. That’s when I connected with the owner’s wife, who was in charge of service center operations

Together — through Greymore — we started building something better. The first thing we made was called O2Care, a service center management app. They liked it. A lot.

That led to even more work: POS, CRM, HRMS, delivery management — all designed in sync with their transition from a clunky APX ERP to SAP B1 with CCS Technologies.

Those two years taught me more about product, people, and process than any textbook ever could. And just as that journey wound down, I moved on: to Accubits, then Bridge Global, and finally, Koncepts Lab.

At Koncepts Lab, I serve as VP of Technology. It’s a role that lets me balance product-building (we’re working on some exciting stuff I’ll write about soon) with service delivery for enterprise clients. Laravel, Vue, GCP — those still form the backbone of everything we do.

Also — somewhere in the middle of all this — I fell in love, and got married.

That’s another story, one I’ll tell soon.

This post isn’t meant to be a comeback. It’s more of a bookmark. A way to say: I’m still here. Still building. Still writing. I’ve just been living a bit more than documenting. But I’m back now — and I have a lot more to say.

If you’re still reading, thank you.

More soon.

And honestly? It wasn’t bad.

It even sounded a little like me; just with better grammar and no spelling mistakes. But something about the perfectly structured paragraphs and the polite narrative made me feel like… well, maybe it’s better that I write this one myself.

I’m not here to compete with bots or chase virality.

I’m here because I missed my own voice.

So, hi. I’m back. For now.

Let’s see if I can finish this post properly and write the next one too. I’ve got stories. About Greymore, Oxygen, moving cities, building teams, burning out, bouncing back, falling in love, getting married, and building again.

More soon. Probably.

Thanks for still being here (or stumbling here).

Either way, welcome back.
