Dead To Them
By Smitha Bhattacharya

This is a story about a group of friends who realize that a girl they know has gone missing. The story starts out slow and moves at the same pace throughout. It builds up the storyline in a very good manner though. It also does a good job of keeping the reader guessing as to what might have happened and who the perpetrator might have been.

The story weaves together the relationships between the characters in a very believable manner and doesn’t have any element in it that would make you doubt as to whether this is something that could take place in real life. It manages to include a lot of real-life elements starting with the hurdles of maintaining relationships to keeping jobs in a seamless narrative.

All the characters except two have a very well defined backstory. This is a book that you can finish reading in a day or two if you have a free schedule. And it is my personal opinion that this book would make a decent storyline for a TV Series.

As always, the views presented above are mine and mine alone. You are free to disagree and I would love to know what your take on the book is.
